“You are not just hiring a personal trainer. You are working with someone trained and experienced at a level very few trainers reach.”
One of the few personal trainers qualified to the highest level
Paul Jewiss is a highly experienced personal trainer, performance coach and founder of PJG PT & Wellness Hub, with more than 30 years’ experience in the health, fitness and performance industry.
He is trained to Level 5, a standard recognised as one of the highest levels of qualification in personal training. This advanced level of training allows Paul to work safely and confidently with a wide range of clients, including people with complex health needs, injury history, rehabilitation goals and performance demands.
For clients, this means reassurance. You are not simply being given a workout plan. You are being coached by someone who understands how the body moves, how progress should be built, and how to adapt training around real people, real lives and real challenges.
Experience shaped by thousands of people
Over the last three decades, Paul has worked with an incredibly diverse range of clients. His experience includes complete beginners looking to improve their health, individuals returning to exercise after illness or injury, people rebuilding confidence in their bodies, and athletes competing at the highest level of sport.
His background in motorsport spans more than 30 years, working with drivers from grassroots karting through to Formula 1, including several championship-winning competitors. He has also supported Olympic and Paralympic athletes, members of the British Badminton Team and British Cycling programme, as well as National, European and World Champions across a variety of sports.
That depth of experience now sits behind every private session at PJG PT & Wellness Hub. Whether you are training for performance, recovery, strength, mobility, confidence or long-term wellbeing, Paul brings the same calm, knowledgeable and personalised approach.
Personal training built around the person, not the programme
Paul’s coaching is never one-size-fits-all.
Every client starts from a different place, with different goals, different pressures and a different relationship with exercise. Some people want to feel stronger and more capable. Some need help after surgery, illness or injury. Some want to improve performance. Others simply want to move better, feel better and take better care of themselves.
Paul builds each session around where you are on the day. Training is adapted to your body, your energy, your confidence and your long-term goals, so progress feels achievable, safe and sustainable.
His approach combines:
- Personal training and movement coaching
- Strength, mobility and conditioning
- Recovery and rehabilitation support
- Nutrition and lifestyle guidance
- Education, confidence building and habit formation
- Long-term health and wellbeing support
The aim is not a short burst of motivation, followed by old habits. The aim is to help you build something that lasts.
Coaching for health, recovery and performance
Paul works with clients across a wide range of needs, from everyday health and fitness to more complex physical challenges.
He is particularly passionate about supporting people who are adapting to significant lifestyle changes after injury, illness or surgery, including those affected by head and brain injuries. His experience and higher-level training allow him to work with care, structure and confidence, helping clients rebuild safely and steadily.
He also has a strong commitment to developing young athletes, helping them build the physical, mental and lifestyle skills they need to fulfil their potential, both in sport and in life.
For performance clients, Paul brings the insight of someone who has worked alongside elite competitors for decades. For everyday clients, he brings that same expertise, but applies it in a way that is realistic, encouraging and relevant to normal life.
Honest guidance, expert support and a sense of humour
Paul’s coaching style is direct, supportive and practical, with plenty of energy and the occasional questionable joke along the way.
Clients enjoy working with him because he combines serious expertise with a down-to-earth approach. He will challenge you when you need it, adapt when your body needs it, and help you understand what you are doing and why it matters.
His work has earned national and international recognition, including winning Personal Trainer of the Year in 2021, as well as further national and international nominations for his contribution to the fitness industry.
He is also the author of two online training programmes, INCEPTION and KRYPTON, and has contributed to numerous fitness publications throughout his career.

Paul has significant experience in taking you from your own start position to achieving your goals and beyond. In my case, a classic story, mid 50’s, overweight and not exercising and got to a 2 stone (and increasing) weight loss, significant improvement in various body statistics and most importantly creating the desire to want to exercise which I did not have. It all starts with creating accountability as sessions are booked so you have to go but also looks at diet and exercise techniques and the actual sessions themselves which are tailor made for you. Paul gives you the tools to make the changes and for me it was life changing. If you follow his guidance, success is virtually guaranteed.

I’ve been training with PJ weekly for almost 2 years now and my body is truly transformed. The biggest adjustment however has been to my mind where he has challenged me to go beyond what I believe I can do, and still be smiling at the end. PJ is able to judge what is just beyond what you believe is possible and push you through. He works with his clients to deliver a tailored, interesting and versatile session, which on occasion has had to be adapted to the circumstances on the ground that day. We’ve done strength, cardio, sprint, balance and mindset training amongst others and each session has felt individually curated for me. I couldn’t recommend him more to anyone wanting to get the most out of a personal training session.

I have been working with Paul for over 2 years. I have worked out with several personal trainers before and love the variety of training Paul offers. With previous trainers I have felt my workouts got a bit stuck in a rut but not here. Paul is always positive and encouraging we train hard but also have fun in every session – and Paul offers a mix of activities that keep me motivated. His knowledge and experience mean that my results are maximised. I have lost over a stone and felt in great shape when I turned 50 earlier this year. Solid encouragement, really good technique and attention to detail = great results. A heartfelt recommendation whether you are looking for your first trainer or have previously tried PT.
Thanks Paul!
